Day 99: Skykomish

Turns out arriving at the highway at 6:10 am does not lend to getting a hitch quickly. It took us until 7am before a fella swooped us into Skykomish where new shoes awaited. 

I couldnt pick up the shoes until 9am so we went to a coffee shop to charge up and smash some coffee. 

After getting my freshhhh new white Hokas, we went over to the deli where we ran into another hiker we’d spent some days with back in California, Andreas. He’d been hustling to catch up since he is on a tight deadline so it was cool to see him. 

We quickly got a hitch out of town in the back of a pick up truck, and covered 25 miles after 1 pm to make it a productive day on trail. 

We arrived to a camp full of SOBO hikers, which forced Sandman and I to share a small tent site for both of our tents. It worked tho!
