What day is it?

At some point Thursday became Friday, but I am not really sure when because traveling across a time zone difference that is 6 hours is weird in that way. Is it midnight or 6 am? Does the time jump when I get on the plane in Chicago or when I touch down in Dublin?

My flight departed at 5pm EST (or 4pm CST in Chicago or 11pm in France) and I’d arrive in Dublin at 5am France-time (or 11pm EST or 10pm CST). If you are confused, good. Me too.

My layover in Dublin was a whopping 6 hours (read prior post), but this was good since it left me time to be productive in the airport since planning for this trip has been a minimal. With my parents planning to meet me in Croatia post-yoga, I needed to get some research done.

The flight to Bordeaux, my final destination, was a short 2 hour flight made even shorter by the fact I slept entirely through take-off to damn near touchdown.

The public transportation system in Europe is incredible, and a bus took me right into the city where I walked to my hostel.

My first photo in Bordeaux. I didn’t realize until the next day this was the infamous Grand Theater.

Once at the hostel, I showered, and hung out with the other guests (who were from all over the world) until I called it an early night to catch up on sleep. I think I slept maaaaybe 6 hours on the way here…

Is this my bed or a dresser? TBD.
