D33: Hungover Historic Tour

My original entry from today goes as “Woof, woke up late ish around 10 am” and that is it. Then I proceeded to not write until the 30th before I ultimately went back and reflected on these days.

I booked an excursion to join a guided tour of the Prague Castle, which of all of the tours I’d do would go down as the most boring. I was slight hungover from the night before and was hungry about halfway through making it hard to focus. The tour was ok, but it focused a lot on the church and that part was a little bland for me. I did learn a story about how a ruler was thrown out like a 15-story window due to treating his subjects poorly… and he survived! Wild.

After the tour, I ate Thai for a late lunch and then did some thrift shopping before going to a yoga class. The yoga class would also go down as my worst of the trip; the instructor spent most of the class showing off crazy poses.

Back at the hostel, they’d be leading another pub crawl tonight starting with a karaoke bar before going to a place called the “Dog Bar”, which was this series of underground rooms each featuring a different vibe. The backroom had two live performers singing and mixing dance music and was an absolute riot of a time. I hadn’t danced that hard in a very long time. Another room had couches where you could sit and watch a movie. Another just had a chill area to hang out and yet another featured rope swings.

The way home included a must stop at a gyro restaurant for food before bed.
